A man (in the company of his seven year old son) dares to criticize the vice president. Ten minutes later, he's arrested by the Secret Service for assault and jailed. The DA dismissed the charges... eventually.

- Why can't it be both? You could see it as print art (although I haven't seen the piece), performance art for getting into the paper - and fraud, for bilking the publisher and/or Gucci out of $50,000.

- When you get right down to it, you've just described a tollway, if one constructed in a roundabout way (well, not a roundabout way in the turning circle sense, you know what I mean), many of which do an admirable job balancing road capacity with convenience and cost.

- Its amazing, because in most other countries (the UK and most of the rest of Europe, at least), W would be being crucified by the press for some of the things that he's done. And yet, here in the 'States, he still gets remarkably "kid glove," treatment.
